One step a time,

Stop forgetting to enjoy life while working on your future

Its actually so easy to forget to enjoy life these days, especially with assignments, part time jobs, maintaining a decent diet just because you’re not 18 anymore and what you consume now will effect you in the near future. You can no longer wake up at 10 am feeling fresh and jump out of bed after a night of binge drinking and having deep conversations with your pals. When the only responsibility you had was to keep your room clean and do your homework and study for your summer exams in secondary school.

These pressures of investing in your time and money into your education to get a good paying job can make people forget the fact that human beings like to have fun, whether you’re a judge or a flight attendant, its in our human nature to enjoy laughing and having fun. But when stress gets in the way its easy to forget this.

These are some of my personal ways to take a step back and put pressure and stress on hold.

New Places

You ever just feel like all you do is wake up, get on a bus and go to college, and then get on a bus to go back home 5 days a week? Well thats because chances are, one way or another, thats exactly what youre doing.

When you have a day off, or during the weekends, why dont you make an effort to go to that place you always wondered what its like? Doesnt necessarily have to be Monaco or Abu Dhabi, but have you ever been to Howth?

Get up earlier

We know you like not having to wake up early on Saturday morning (Providing you weren’t necking pints last night) but there is this crazy interesting concept that if you wake up earlier in the morning, you have more time to do what you want that day.

You can get stuck into study for an hour or 2, but then go on and ask someone to get some food with you, or watch a movie in a cinema

New people

I cannot stress enough how beneficial and healthy it is to socialize with new people. Keeping an open mind and hearing other peoples opinion can help you grow as a person, and learn. So it would be advisable to break out of your shell and see what other people think about Brexit, or their views on why Meath cant win an all Ireland.

  • Let yourself relax.
  • Remember, humans are meant to enjoy life, so do it.
